6 months after your purchase, we perform the professional periodic folding of your spare parachute once completely free of charge. This service ensures that your spare parachute is always packed correctly, protected from moisture and deformation. Periodic folding is critical for the smooth and fast opening of the spare parachute in an emergency. We offer this service without any charge from our customers.
Why is backup parachute so important?
On paragliding flights, spare parachutes are your only life-saving assurances. In case of any malfunction (full collapse, large asymmetry, spiral diving, etc.) that may occur in your main parachute, the spare parachute comes into play. Its fast opening, stable and secure landing speed directly affect the pilot’s life. Therefore, a replacement parachute is a mandatory equipment on every flight.
Why should professional folding be done every 6 months?
When the spare parachute is packaged for a long time, deep layers of layers are formed on the fabric, the pressure increases, the accumulation of moisture and dust may occur. This can prolong the opening time and reduce performance. International Standards (EN 12491 and LTF 91/09) recommend that spare parachutes be refolded professionally every 6 months.
